Spend a fun-packed day with over 450 amazing species from lions to love beetles. With most of the exhibits under cover, you can enjoy your visit whatever the weather.
Experience animal encounters and feeding times. Try to beat the animal record breakers in the Zoolympics.
And don't forget to say hello to Jock, the zoo's resident Silverback Gorilla, who celebrated his 26th Birthday in May this year.
Founded in 1972, Severn Counties members have kept and bred a huge range of birds over the years and 2022 is our 50th Anniversary year.
There are approximately 1 million pet birds of various species, from canaries, budgerigars and finches through to larger or more exotic species, and any bird keepers or people considering getting a pet bird are very welcome at any of our meetings, which are held at the Methodist Church Hall in Winterbourne on the third Thursday of each month at 8pm. We cater for all ages and levels of experience, and are particularly glad to see younger people interested in the hobby
