PART TIME LEISURE ASSISTANT - Immediate Vacancy

BSTC is recruiting one PT Leisure Assistant for their three Community Activity Centres in Bradley Stoke, to join them, as soon as possible. The successful applicant will cover a range of duties at all three Activity Centres: Brook Way Activity Centre, the Bradley Stoke Jubilee Centre and Baileys Court Activity Centre.

The role is for 33 hours per week on a pre-planned rota system and will include evening and weekend working to keep the Activity Centres open for their hirers, as necessary.

The Centres offer a wide range of Community Activities, from Mother, Baby and Toddler Groups to Youth Clubs to Football Clubs and are also hired for parties, workshops, courses and business use. Other activities include an annual Community Festival and a Fireworks display. Duties include ensuring that sites are secure, have been cleaned and adequately heated, working on each site as necessary to ensure that they are usable by the hirer. The preparation of sites includes setting out of equipment, cleaning, site upkeep, and opening/closing at the scheduled times.

Applicants must be physically fit and have an interest in community activities and sport (there are football (grass and hard court) and cricket pitches, tennis and netball courts and a six rink bowls green. The current annual salary is £11,821.20 per annum including shift allowance based on 33 hours per week.
