SPORT & LEISURE - WALKING TO HEALTH

walking to healthHealth Walks are held across the Bradley Stoke area on a weekly basis, from a variety of community venues. The walks provide a fantastic opportunity to improve your health, meet new people and explore the local area.

Walks range from one to three-and-a-half miles in length over paved or relatively even surfaces and start from locations which have toilet facilities, parking, bus access and refreshments.

The walks cater for strollers, who prefer shorter walks with a gentle pace and the occasional rest stop, through to walkers who enjoy 45 minutes to an hour walking at their own pace. The walks are graded from A to D, with C & D walks sometimes taking in uneven ground, across fields and stiles etc. and are therefore not suitable for persons with limited mobility.

There is no need to book a place, just turn up and enjoy it. See our events diary for details of all forthcoming walks.

We are recruiting Volunteer Walk Leaders on an ongoing basis. This responsibility would give you the opportunity to change people’s lives through exercise.
