£50,000 NEW SOFTPLAY AT BRADLEY STOKE LEISURE CENTRE REVEALED

South Gloucestershire Leisure has invested £50,000 in a new softplay facility for Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre that opens tomorrow, Wednesday April 13.

The new “Labyrinth ” concept has been designed to create a fun, fantasy world of dragons, knights and princesses. Young children and their families are invited to attend an open day where free sessions will run from 10.30am.

Softplay is one of the most popular activities for young children at the Centre and the £50,000 investment is aimed at getting children aged between 0-9 years more active. It has also been supported through sponsorship with Matters Magazines.

Dean Barney, Area Manager at South Gloucestershire Leisure, which runs Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre, said: “We are committed to helping families with young children encourage physical activity and explore their environment.

“As part of this there are multi-levels of fun, challenging activities, including climbing frames, slides, ball pools, crawl tubes, rope bridges and scramble nets. Children can dive in and get exploring on their own, with friends or interact with other children.

“Research has shown that children who are regularly involved in active play develop well on physical, mental and social levels. Softplay encourages them do this in a safe environment and the new Labyrinth concept has been designed with this in mind. ”

Alison Davis, from Bradley Stoke Matters and Little Stoke Gifford Matters Magazine, said: “We re proud to be helping support SGL with this fabulous new Labyrinth softplay – we know from many of our readers how well used and popular the site is and look forward to seeing the children make full use of it over the coming years. ”

The Leisure Centre is also running a Labyrinth colouring competition for children. Entry forms can be picked up on the day.
