Amnesty Bristol celebrates 30 years of the Goldney Garden Party – 5th August

On Sunday 5th August from 1pm-5.30pm Amnesty Bristol is hosting its 30th Goldney Garden Party, with high hopes for its biggest and best yet. With live music, tombolas, children s entertainers and the ultimate tea party, it s an event not to be missed.

Guests are invited to Goldney Hall in Clifton to enjoy afternoon tea in the Orangery and to explore the gorgeous grounds, which are only open to the public 3 days a year. The gardens hold many a delight such as the hidden 18th Century underground shell grotto, one of Bristol s best-kept secrets.

The entertainment line-up features some of Bristol s best acoustic jazz, folk and blues musicians such as Cindy Stratton, Ramblin Tyme and Really The Blues, plus the soul-soaring sounds of the People of Note choir.

For kids it promises to be a magical afternoon in the company of story-tellers, illusionists, creepy crawlies, face-painting artists and purveyors of fine ice cream!

The event promises to inspire, entertain and delight both adults and children alike, whilst at the same time helping to raise awareness funds for Amnesty International s vital work in projecting the victims of grave human rights abuses around the world.

Venue address:  Goldney Hall, Lower Clifton Hill, Clifton, Bristol BS8 1BH
