BBC Points West’s Chris Vacher Visits Bradley Stoke Matters

The tables were turned on Jaci and Alison at Bradley Stoke & Little Stoke Gifford Matters this week, when instead of being the interviewers / reporters for all your local community news, they became Chris Vacher’s interviewees.

Chris and his team, Mattt and Philip, spent part of the morning on Friday 13th May at the very popular Christ The King coffee morning, and some time at Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre and at the Willow Brook Centre. Matt said “The ladies at the coffee morning were really pleased to see Chris – they all wanted him to sit next to them!”

The BBC Points West team spent the afternoon in Ottrells Mead, at Bradley Stoke Matters ‘HQ’ where they were keen to hear all about the Matters Magazines and the Bradley Stoke Matters community website. Chris said “I spoke to the founders of the original Residents Association Newsletter nearly 25 years ago and I can see that your magazine and community website are the modern equivalent.”

Jaci and Alison were pleased to tell the BBC team what a great community we have here, thanks to the efforts of so many dedicated organisations, voluntary groups and individuals all working hard to strengthen community spirit.

The BBC Points West on Bradley Stoke, looking at how the community has developed over the last 25 years, is due to be aired on BBC1 on Monday 16th May at 6.30pm.
