Become a future star of wildlife film and TV with M Shed!
October 22nd, 2015M Shed goes wildlife film crazy on Friday 23 October with a Wildlife Film Roadshow designed to showcase what goes into making great nature programmes. Families are invited to drop into M Shed between 11am and 4pm and meet industry professionals, handle specialist kit and try being a wildlife presenter. It s FREE, hands-on and fun for all the family a great way to spend a few hours during the half term holiday!
Highlights include:
- Meet well known presenter Simon King (Big Cat Diaries, Springwatch, Autumnwatch, Blue Planet) who will be talking to visitors and signing books between 1pm and 4pm.
- Come face to face with a Tyrannosaurus Rex jaw from the series Life in Cold Blood
- Handle a polar bear tooth and polar kit with cameraman Doug Allan
- Have a go at being a wildlife presenter with BBC s Garry Green
- Have a go at making nature programme sound effects with expert Paul Ackerman
- Meet John Downer Productions Producer Rob Pilley and get up close and personal with the SpyCreatures featured in the BBC TV series Dolphins Spy in the Pod and Penguins Spy in the Huddle .
- Chat to producers and directors from the BBC Natural History Unit to find out how to pursue a career in wildlife TV. Hear how the professionals got going in their careers and what their work really involves.
- Get 2-for-1 entry to Nature, Camera, Action! The secrets of making incredible wildlife films.
