Beginners’ Course in Photography – starts February

It’s a New Year with New-Year resolutions and an opportunity to learn new skills. Have you ever looked critically at the average snaps posted to social media. More to the point, have you ever wondered how you could do better?

You can. Easily!

2019 is the 50th anniversary of the founding of Thornbury Camera Club and, as part of the celebrations, the club has decided to share its knowledge and experience by running a beginners’ photography course.

You will learn:

• how to choose a camera;

• how to use your camera once you have bought it;

• how to look critically at an image.

After the course you will no-longer be bamboozled by words such as focal length and aperture. In particular, you will have all the skills needed to take better pictures.

The course will run for six Tuesday evenings from 5th February to 12th March in the Games Room at Turnberries . If you are interested please contact the secretary Andy Gillingham on 01454 415015 or by email to [email protected].

The cost of the course will be £75 and includes membership of the camera club until the end of the season on 31st August 2019.
