Big-hearted opticians holds week of fundraisingFebruary 12th, 2016
With Valentine’s Day just a breath away, the local Specsavers has been making the most of the love in the air by holding a week of fundraising activities in store, with all proceeds donated to Breast Cancer Care.
Throughout the week, staff at Specsavers in the Willow Brook Centre are selling raffle tickets to customers hoping to win a teddy bear prize and giving away pink Breast Cancer Care wristbands in exchange for a donation to the charity. The week will culminate in a Valentine’s Day-themed cake sale on Saturday (13th).
Ed Stanleigh, store director at Specsavers in Bradley Stoke, says: ‘It is important to the team to support good causes in any way we can, and we’ve chosen to make a contribution towards the amazing work that Breast Cancer Care does for victims of cancer. Valentine’s Day is a great opportunity to theme all our fundraising efforts over the week around love, and so far our customers have got really involved in all the events in store and made some generous donations.’
