Bradley Stoke Community Festival 6th-8th June

festival Welcome 2This year’s Bradley Stoke Festivals promises another fun-filled weekend of events including –  Arts & Craft stalls – Bed Race – Children s Games & Activities – Climbing Wall & Bungee Trampoline – Displays and demonstrations – Mayors XI v BSCC Cricket Match – King Ramps Skate Pipe – Falconry Display – Football Tournament – Local Bands & Dance Groups – Rides & Inflatables – 10k Race – Skate Park competition.

Friday 6th June : The annual Picnic in the Park for preschoolers starts at 10.30am until approximately 2pm at the Jubilee Centre. Professor Panic presents his range of circus skills, juggling and entertainment in the Big Top, alongside local craft and community stalls and a bouncy castle.

Refreshments will be served by the local WI during the morning with Face Painting available for the toddlers. Friends of Jubilee Green will also be running their popular Treasure Hunt as well as activities from the local Woodcraft folk and play groups.

Saturday 7th June 11.30am- 6.00pm : The demonstration area in Jubilee Green features the King Ramps Skate Pipe and displays will be given by the pro s throughout the Festival with a rugby skills display plus a Tug O War competition organised by Bradley Stoke Youth Rugby, as well as the popular Falconry Displays.

Bradley Stoke FestivalMusic will be provided by local bands; The BS Community School, Flipp Flopps, Uncle Buck, Goodnight Lois, The Band with No Name and top party band She Says and reggae band Mizizi; performing alongside local dance groups, including the world renowned Bristol Acro Gymnasts, clubs and associations.

Fun rides for the children include trampolines, giant slides, football games, longbow archery, giant inflatable s, a Helter Skelter and the Vertical Xtreme climbing wall.   Sideshows, arts & crafts and community stalls will offer a wide range of local products and novelties.

The BS Youth FC Football Tournament for Year 1 Boys starts at 10.30 a.m. on the top soccer pitches.

10k2Sunday 8th June : The annual 10K multi terrain race organised by the Sole Sisters starts at 09.30 a.m. and finishes at the Jubilee Centre.

Events at Baileys Court – At Baileys Court the second running of the Bradley Stoke Bed Race will start at 12.30p.m to 13.15p.m.

The BS Cricket Club will provide a BBQ + bar from 12.00 noon followed by the Mayor s XI v a BSCC XI starting at 2pm finishing with evening entertainment in the clubhouse.

The BS Bowls club will provide roll up demonstrations throughout the afternoon.

Skate Park Competition – A Skate Board competition sponsored by the Willowbrook Centre will also be taking place at the BS skate park from 10.30am through to approximately 4pm.
