Bradley Stoke Community Radio Gearing Up for Live Broadcast !

Bradley Stoke Community Radio are now gearing up for  the live broadcast.   Friends at BCfm 93.2 have provided their expertise, training, support and encouragement to put the BSCR team in a position where they now have the skills (well almost) to broadcast live. BCfm 93.2 are a talented bunch – check out their website for a glimpse at the level of service they provide. BSCR members who received training from BCfm last month are now cascading this training to the latest Bradley Stoke Radio members.

Want to help but don t have any spare time? There are still a few equipment needs which could be fulfilled by spending more of the grant and sponsorship money received to date. However, if you or anyone you know has recently acquired a new computer and are wondering what to do with the old one… BSCR would be particularly grateful for USB mice and keyboards, a couple of screens and an external hard drive or two.

Want to help and do have some spare time? For every presenter who is in front of the microphone at least one person is needed behind the scenes. The organisation required to put a radio station together is quite staggering and as the broadcast gets closer, this work (all being done by volunteers) is starting to pile up. Volunteers are needed in the following areas:* Marketing * Press Releases * A Treasurer * Newsletter Production Person * Another ‘Finance Person * Advertising Coordinator * Meeter/Greeters * Event Organisers and people to man the stand at events.

In the next few weeks the team expect to have ‘online-streaming capability – simply put, that means an internet radio service can be provided that runs 24/7, 365 days of the year. The person responsible for this will need a small team to make sure this next stage of the website development is successful!!
