Bradley Stoke in Bloom Herb Garden

Herb-Garden--June--(4)BSiB s Community Herb Garden, planted in front of the Brook Way Activity centre is flourishing. The garden is four large tubs, made by local carpenter Julian Smith, which has been planted up with herbs. With the list including: Apple Mint, Basil, Bay, Borage, Chamomile, Chives, Curry, Fennel, Marjoram, Mint, Oregano, Parsley, Pineapple Sage, Rosemary, Sage, Thyme there should be something to suit everyone s tastes. These herbs were chosen to give a wide a variety as possible, although care was taken to ensure that there were few herbs that would attract bees to the tubs. The garden is there for the whole community, so don t be shy, everyone is welcome to come and snip off any herbs they would like to try. Although he declined to take any herbs, the MP Jack Lopresti visited the garden and was very impressed!

BSiB is an incredibly small but friendly group; it now has just 4 Committee members and two regular workday helpers so any offers of help would be greatly appreciated.

BSiB workdays are always the 3rd Saturday of the month.

Contact details for BSiB are: email: [email protected] Tel: 07582 634107, Facebook: Bradley Stoke in Bloom and our website: bradleystokeinbloom.com will soon be up and running.   They would love to hear from you!
