Bradley Stoke Radio wins community grant to fund station
December 17th, 2010Bradley Stoke Radio are delighted to have won a community grant from the Quartet Grassroots Community fund and are very pleased to say that they are just a couple of steps away from having a full time online radio station. The funds now raised will be used to buy equipment and enable the group to provide online streaming through their website and access for all to their programming in the new year.
The group is looking forward to promoting their programmes throughout the community and getting more people and groups involved in this exciting community project. The radio station has received much support from local businesses and councils and is looking forward to a busy and successful new year.
Final touches are being made to their training schedule for 2011 and the group hopes to have some exciting news about FREE radio training workshops very soon – watch this space.
Bradley Stoke Radio’s aim is to have a full time FM broadcast in June 2011 to cover the Bradley Stoke Festival and with this grant and the other support they have received they say they will now be able to achieve that goal.
Bradley Stoke Radio are keen to hear from local groups, businesses and people who want to be interviewed or are holding events which could be promoted on Bradley Stoke Radio. With a busy schedule planned in 2011 they want to involve as many groups as possible – their motto is ‘Your Voice, Your Radio!’
