Bradley Stoke Swimathon

The 10th Annual Bradley Stoke Rotary Swimathon is to be held at Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre on the evening of Saturday 14th March 2015 in three sessions between 6-9pm.   The event has raised in excess of £27,500 for individual “good causes”, charities and other local   and international Rotary projects over the years.

As usual each team will consist of maximum of five members, who will swim lengths in relay for 55 minutes.   Each team member can obtain sponsorship either per length or for the duration of the event.   There is no entry fee- all is asked is that each team donates 40% of the money raised towards the Rotary Club chosen causes.   You can of course donate 100% to Rotary if you have no nominated cause of your own.

This year amongst the main Rotary beneficiaries will be projects including the eradication of polio, Young Chef, Young Photographer and an annual music project organisation in conjunction with  South Gloucestershire Council bring music to disabled and disadvantaged children.   Previously the club has been involved in international projects in Gambia, Nepal, India, Cyprus and South Africa.
