Bradley Stoke’s Impressionist Reaches Final of Britain’s Got Talent
June 11th, 2010Paul Burling stole the show with his impersonations at Wednesday’s live Britain’s Got Talent show.
The father-of-two from Bradley Stoke impressed all three judges as he mimicked Harry Hill, Alan Carr and even judge Simon Cowell in the third semi-final.
Paul received the highest number of viewers’ votes among the 8 acts of the night, which secured him an automatic finalist’s place.
The 40-year old was praised for his dedication to his career – having worked for 25 years in clubs looking for his big break. Earlier in the competition, judges described him as the best impersonator they had seen on the show.
Paul’s friends in Bradley Stoke are rallying round to encourage the whole community to get behind Paul for Saturday night’s live show – with flyers and banners appearing throughout Bradley Stoke and beyond.
The overall winner of the competition will walk away with a £100,000 prize and will perform in front of the Queen at the Royal Variety Show. Saturday’s show starts at 7.30pm on ITV1.
