BS Junior Footballers score sponsorship deal with Taylor Wimpey
January 26th, 2015
Young footballers in Bradley Stoke, Gloucestershire, kicked off the new season in style thanks to a sponsorship deal with Taylor Wimpey Bristol.
The U7s team at Bradley Stoke Youth Football Club received a generous donation of £250 from the leading housebuilder, which is currently building high-quality new homes at its nearby Lyde Green development in Emersons Green.
The club, which is based at the Jubilee Centre on Savages Wood Road, will use the money to purchase brand new sweatshirts with the team s initials emblazoned on the back.
Team manager Martin Lee says: It s always fantastic to get sponsorship from local businesses, and Taylor Wimpey s donation has done so much in helping our team get brand new sweatshirts.
“For children so young, this will be their first piece of kit that belongs to them it s wonderful for them to have something with their club name printed on the back, and it s something that they can be as proud of as they are of the clubs they support themselves.”
We received funding around 14 years ago from Taylor Wimpey, and they re sponsoring us again now. We really appreciate the donation, as this is what keeps grass root clubs like us going.
The U7s team play regular friendly matches every week with other local teams in the area.
Charlie Joseph, Regional Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey, says: As a local housebuilder, we are committed to supporting the communities which we build in, so we were only too pleased to fund some new kit for the Bradley Stoke Youth Football Club U7s.
I wish the team all the best for the rest of the football season and I hope their new kit gives them a competitive edge on the pitch.
