BSCS celebrates a third successive year of record A’ Level results! 

Bradley Stoke Community School students celebrated another impressive set of Post 16 results, with 44% of all grades awarded at A*-A and 59% A*-B.   Students from the 2018 cohort are going to a wide range of destinations including to a university place, an apprenticeship, or an offer of employment.   Over a quarter of University offers were from Russell Group Universities, with 2018 being another year of Oxbridge offers and entrances. University destinations include the University of Oxford, Bristol, Durham, Exeter and Leeds to name a few. As well as these, a number of students will now commence apprenticeships at the Ministry of Defence, MIDAS and GKN Aerospace. 

As always, there are some outstanding individual performances, including: 

 Joseph Chambers-Graham who achieved 4 A*s (Maths, Further Maths, Computer science & Physics) and will read Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Oxford. 

 Emmanuelle Deliot who achieved 3 A*s (French, Law & Psychology) and is leaving to study Chinese and French at the University of Leeds 

 Matteo Monaco who achieved 2 A*s (Maths & Physics) and 2 As (Further Maths & Chemistry) and will be at Durham University next year studying Physics 

 Enzo Steenkamp who achieved 1 A* (Physics) 2As (Maths & Chemistry) and is going to complete an Engineering Degree Apprenticeship at Airbus (Filton) 

 Abi Todd who achieved 3 As (Maths, Chemistry & Biology) and is going to the University of Bristol to study Medicine 

 Lauren Thawley who achieved A* (Art) & 2 Distinction*s (Media & IT) and is pursuing her love of Fine Art at the University of Worcester 

 Chloe Bowden who achieved 3 As (History, Psychology & Law) and will study Law at the University of Reading 

 Bethany Sell who achieved 3 As (History, Psychology & Drama) and is going to the University of Exeter to study Psychology 

 A number of individual subject areas have been particularly strong this year, including: 

 80% of grades A*-B in Psychology; with over 45% of students achieving an A or A* grade in this subject 

 80% of grades A*-B in Law 

 67% of grades A*-B in Art 

 60% of grades A*-B in Biology and Maths 

 55% of grades A*-B in Physics and Chemistry
