Buy a Brick to help Build a Community

YellRedBlue v2 with shadowWe were very pleased to meet up with Martin & Sue from St Michael s Church in Stoke Gifford last month and learn about their latest ‘Buy a Brick’ fundraiser for the Heart of the Community project.

The idea is that as many church members, businesses, residents and friends buy a brick or two for the new church and community centre in Stoke Gifford. Each brick represents a £10 gift, with a small certificate presented to everyone who donates.  They would make an excellent Christmas gift!

The target is to raise £50,000 for the project – which means selling 5,000 bricks!!

Volunteers to take a turn helping to run one of three planned ‘Buy a Brick’ display stands at local events and meeting places over the next few weeks would be very welcome, or perhaps you could sell bricks at your own Christmas event too!?

Please  contact Sue Woodhead  if you d like to help. (Hard hats will be provided.)

More information can be found here.

As always Bradley Stoke & Little Stoke Gifford Matters is very pleased to support this project and fundraising initiative and is very proud to have purchased the very first brick!
