Celebrating 28 years in stoke Gifford
March 21st, 2015We were pleased to hear from Barbara Quinn this month, owner of the Shampers Hair Salon on Ratcliffe Drive.
The Salon is celebrating in 2015 as, amazingly, this April will mark 28 years since it first opened its doors in Stoke Gifford. There has been many changes in the area since 1987. Barbara recalls, Back then you could still cows in the Friends Life field, the mile straight only had the Filton High School, Bradley Stoke was still fields and St Michael s School was just being planned!
Shampers has grown as the area has grown and Barbara feels very fortunate to have so many lovely clients; many of whom she has known since opening day! Others have since moved out of the area but still choose to travel back for their hair appointments.
The salon offers a great team of Hairdressers who perform top quality hair cutting and are fully trained in all aspects of hair colouring, looking after the condition of hair and listening to clients in the all-important consultation, which remains a complementary service for new and existing clients. All stylists are committed to working from start to finish, offering a consistent service to their clients.
Sheryl, who has worked at the salon for 15 years, describes it as friendly and very personable and emphasises the fact that staff are trained well enough to be able to be honest with their clients and give the very best advice. Working 7 years at Shampers, Caroline says the salon offers a warm welcome to all the family and enjoys her mix of clients, styling children, men and ladies hair.
Barbara concludes Having a great hairdressing team past and present and very loyal clients has made Shampers a great success for the last 28 years and I would like to say a big thank you to all our clientele.
To celebrate the anniversary Shampers are running a couple of offers for both new and existing clients – be sure to use your copy of Little Stoke Gifford Matters and take advantage of them!
