Colourful fundraising weekend planned at Specsavers

Specsaver in the WillowBrook Centre will be holding back-to-back fun days this weekend as it raises money for Guide Dogs and Breast Cancer Care.

The weekend of fundraising will kick off on Friday 10 October as staff from Specsavers wear neon clothes and serve up an array of colourful cupcakes to support Guide Dogs Week. The team will then continue their efforts the following day (Saturday 11) by donning pink and selling treats in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

‘We re so proud to be supporting Guide Dogs and Breast Cancer Care this month, says Ed Stanleigh, store director at Specsavers in Bradley Stoke. ‘The whole team will be getting into the fundraising spirit over the weekend and we welcome customers to stop by the store, enjoy a sweet treat and show their support for the charities.

This year s Guide Dogs Week runs from 4 until 12 October and Specsavers has been supporting the charity for more than 25 years. The funds raised will help Guide Dogs in its mission to provide mobility and freedom to blind and partially sighted people.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month also runs throughout October and Breast Cancer Care is one of the UK s leading charities, which provides information and support to those affected by breast cancer.
