Community Adult Learning at BSR

Through January and February Bradley stoke Radio has been hosting a WEA Adult learning course in ‘Introduction to Radio Production’.  The course has taken participants through thinking about what is community and the role of community radio stations, all the way through to practical skills of researching, interviewing, using microphones and editing using computer software!

The participants celebrated their ‘graduation’ of this free 6 week course, with a radio programme where participants were able to showcase their learning and experience presenting live from the studios of Bradley Stoke Radio!

Bradley Stoke Radio is at the heart of the community, broadcasting from studios in North Bradley Stoke and at many community events across the area, all run by volunteers from the community, for the community.

The WEA offers adult learning courses on a whole variety of subjects, so if you have ever thought about having a go, learning a new skill, socialising, upskilling and more, please look at all the courses the WEA provide at WEA.org.uk.

Don’t forget, you can listen live to Bradley Stoke Radio 103.4fm or online at BradleyStokeRadio.com at any time and there are many opportunities to get involved.

If you would like to join a radio course in the future, you would be made very welcome – no experience required. www.WEA.org.uk for more information.
