Course for Single Christians to be run at St Michael’s Church

St Michael’s Church in Stoke Gifford has recently become a Single Friendly Church.  Working with the national organisation of the same name, they are committed to being a supportive environment for Christians who just happen to be single.

As part of this, they are offering a 5 session course for single Christians called Securely Single. The course will run on Wednesday evenings and starts on 18 August.

Laura Thomas, one of the course leaders and part of the staff team at St Michael’s said  “We’re excited to be offering this course. Forty percent of adults are single, and we wanted to provide something specific for them.  I must stress though – it’s not a dating course!”

Securely Single is a course especially for Christians who are single (whether they have always been single, or are divorced, or widowed). It was written by Eleanor Jeans following conversations with single people in churches and recognising the need for such material. The course material helps single Christians discuss and address the positives and negatives of the single life and encourages all to be content in every and any circumstance.
