Bike maintenance and bike ID sessions Saturday 19th September 10:00am 11:30am
Join us for two sessions to help you get the most from your bike. Your local Police Team is at the library to provide free postcode engraving on your bicycle; the engraving will be done at the back of the library so please assemble there. The police team will be available throughout the session just turn up with your bike. Or you can book a place on our bike maintenance workshop to learn how to keep your bike in good working order. Learn to look after your bike and get the most out of it. The workshop will be held at the back of the library, outside on a good day or within the loading area of the library. Please meet at the back of the library. Booking required
Follow the Hatter s Trail a virtual walk with Tony Harding Saturday 3rd October 14:00pm 15:00pm
Join Tony on a virtual walk through Winterbourne and discover and its long and chequered past. Hearing loops available. Disabled toilets within the leisure centre. No dogs allowed except guide dogs. Age: 14+ Booking required
Stokes Crafters workshop Sunday 4th October 11:00am 13:00pm
Come and meet the Stokes Crafters. Find out what they do, and get involved in crafts with a view to setting up a regular craft group meeting within Bradley Stoke Library. Bring along your current craft project to share and for help and advice. No dogs allowed except guide dogs Age: 16+
An evening with author Alex Bellos Thursday 8th October 19:00pm 20:30pm
His popular maths and science books are bestsellers and have been translated into more than 20 languages. He writes a maths blog for the Guardian and makes mathematics accessible to even the maths phobic! Cost: £3 Age: 14+ Booking required
The Battle of Trafalgar 210 years on Monday 12th October Saturday 31st October
Over the three weeks of the interactive exhibition 3 stages of the battle will be highlighted in successive weeks.
Bristol DAWG meet and greet greyhounds Tuesday 20th October 15:30pm 17:00pm
Please come along and meet some of our wonderful greyhounds which have been rescued and perhaps learn more about what wonderful family pets these dogs make.
