European Champions 2015!

Wow!   What a wonderful weekend 15 members of Creation Twirlers Baton Twirling team had last month when they travelled to Italy as part of the England Majorette team to take part in the European Majorette championships.  

This talented group of young people with an average age of 14, who train in Patchway but live throughout the local area,   were selected at the National Finals in July to represent England.  

In Italy they competed against 10 other European countries in three team events, plus a number of solo and duo events.   They wowed the judges and their fellow competitors by pulling off outstanding performances securing 1 Gold and 1 Silver in the team events and 1 Bronze, 2 x 4th places and 3 x 5th places in the individual categories.  

The members ’ passion, determination and talent made bringing home Gold to Bristol an extra special achievement.  

The team are now keen to learn a new set of routines which they hope will qualify next year in order to defend and add to their current European titles when the competition comes to England in 2016.
