European Champions

What an award winning weekend nine members of Creation Twirlers had in Lillehammer in Norway!   The leading athletes, who all live in the South Glos/North Bristol area, were selected to represent England at the European Championships which took place at the Hakons Hall, the 1994 Winter Olympics venue in Lillehammer.   They took part in a number of routines throughout the weekend and also joined forces with Unique and New Direction teams to participate in the Accessory Team routine.

Creation Twirlers swept the board when prizes were awarded at the Closing Ceremony, winning first prize for our outstanding Accessory Corp routine, second place for the amazing Parade Corp routine.   These awards were well deserved and special mention must go to Danielle who after a magnificent performance was awarded third place for her solo.   In addition Danielle and Casey performed a “Wicked ” duet routine and were awarded third place for their outstanding performance.   Congratulations also go to Liam and Kasey who achieved fourth place for their duet and to soloist Madison and duetists Summer and Lily who performed amazingly well but narrowly missed podium places.

Creation Twirlers train at Patchway Sports Centre several times a week.   They are currently looking for sponsorship for costumes and equipment.   New members are always welcome.
