Fantastic A level Results at BSCS

We are proud to celebrate the great achievement of Bradley Stoke Community School Post 16 students who received some fantastic results.

Overall, for A Levels 20% of grades were A*-A, and 51% A*-B; both are an increase compared to last year. For vocational courses, the average grade was a Distinction and an increase from last year. Students have once again gained fantastic opportunities at top Russell Group universities and higher/degree apprenticeships, including Kone Crans and the Royal Air Force.

Headteacher Sophie Francis said: ‘We are incredibly proud of our Year 13 students and all they have achieved. They have been a delight to work with throughout their time with us, not only demonstrating positivity, resilience and determination in their own studies, but also making a valued contribution to our wider school community. Many have given their time to support younger students, acting as role models and helping others to thrive.

These results are a testament to their hard work and commitment and will help open the door to exciting opportunities ahead. We are excited to see where their next steps take them and look forward to following their future ambitions, whether that be university, apprenticeships, employment or other pathways. We have no doubt they will continue to make a positive impact and wish them every success for the future.

I would also like to thank our dedicated staff, families and partners across the Olympus Post 16 provision for the support, encouragement and opportunities they have provided to our students along the way.’

Assistant Headteacher and Head of Post 16, Sadie McCombe, shared her delight: ‘These fantastic results are a testament to the dedication and resilience our students and staff have shown over the past two years. It’s wonderful to see their hard work recognised. We’re incredibly proud of all our students – their futures are bright, and we wish them every success as they take their next steps.’

Some particularly notable individual attainment and progress successes include:

• Ivan – 5A*s in chemistry, computer science, further maths, maths and physics and is going on to study Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Southampton

• Ishita – 3A*s in business studies, further maths and maths and 1A in economics and is going on to study Finance at London School of Economics

• Julia – 2A*s in maths and physics and 1A in further maths and is going on to study Biomedical Engineering at Imperial College London

• Kelvin – 1A* in chemistry, 2As in biology and maths and 1B in economics and is going on to study economics at the University of Bristol

• Jamilla – 1A* in geography, and 2As in biology and maths and is going on to study geography after a gap year

• Charlie – 1D* in sport studies, 1A in chemistry and 2Bs in biology and maths and is going to study diagnostic radiography at Cardiff University

• Naomi – 1A* in business studies, 1A in psychology and 1B in Spanish and is going on to study Spanish and business at The University of Edinburgh

• Daniel – 1D* in sport studies, 1A in maths and 1B in product design and is going on to study product design and manufacture at the University of Nottingham

• Devon – 1D* in sport studies, 1A in history and 1B in biology and will start employment shortly

• Hannah – 1A* in psychology, 1A in history and 1B in biology and is going to study midwifery at the University of West England

These are just a selection of the fantastic results achieved by this year’s cohort – we are proud of every single one of our students and have been consistently impressed by them throughout their time with us at BSCS.
