Ferrari Owners Club visits Bradley Stoke RAC

RAC employees working the weekend shift at the organisation s local Bradley Stoke offices were treated to a collection of fantastic Ferraris when the Ferrari Owners Club of Great Britain stopped by for lunch on Saturday (July 6, 2013).

Members of the club were given a tour of the building, which sits near the M5/M4 interchange, as part of a programme of organised outings, while their cars basked in the summer sun.  The group took in the views from the landmark ‘crow s nest tower, where views out over Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Somerset and across the Severn to Wales can be seen.

The Ferraris in attendance included a 430 Scuderia, F355 Spider, two 550 Maranellos, a 360 Spider, and a 308 GTS – otherwise known as the ‘Magnum PI car.

Britt Rothman, area group organiser, said: “It was a fantastic day for a drive down to the West Country and to see the beautiful countryside from the tower.  We very much enjoyed hearing about the work of the RAC and are hoping to return to the organisation later in the year at their Bescot headquarters in Birmingham to find out even more! ”

The Bradley Stoke offices of the RAC houses around 800 colleagues, most of which are in the sales and service teams working across the range of breakdown and insurance services provided by the 116-year old motoring organisation.

Alex Heath, head of membership, said: “It was a powerful sight to see these amazing vehicles together in one place. There are many real car lovers working in the RAC and these really drew the crowds. Stunning engineering across the range of cars that attended is not something you see every day. ”

The RAC supplies roadside assistance services to Ferrari in the UK and also for the Prancing Horse s ‘With You programme, which offers 12 months complimentary roadside assistance to any Ferrari made going back to 1947.
