Friends of Jubilee Green has more funding news…..

Earlier on this year Friends of Jubilee Green had some exciting news about the The Youth Structure project,  they had been awarded a £49,999 Community Spaces program grant which is being managed by Goundwork UK as an award partner to the Big Lottery Fund.  Along with £10,811 of match funding from Bradley Stoke Town Council the Youth Structure project will not only fund the construction of the Youth Structure but it will also improve the paths within the park improving disabled access to the area, introduce more wood carvings to the play space   and more planting.

The funding news does not stop there,  they were told  this week that  they have secured an additional £3,500 from the Community Spaces, BIg Lottery Fund to help make the project sustainable.  This funding is for volunteer training, event equipment and a little bit of community fun as well.

The project work does not stop there,  they have  also reached  their fundraising target for the ‘Brass’ rubbing project and in June students from Bradley Stoke Community School designed and made 10 Brass rubbing plates for the park under the expert guidance of father and son artists Thrussell and Thrussell.  These plates will be installed in the park in August.

To  Celebrate,  we  are planning a celebration of projects in early September.    The projects have been achieved through the hard work and determination of four volunteers and we hope you agree that this is a major  accomplishment for such a small group.  We will be providing more information on this event soon, keep an eye on Bradley Stoke Matters for more information.
