Great Western Air Ambulance Charity wants your bras!
September 22nd, 2015
We’ve all got them, ladies. Lurking at the back of the cupboard. We know we should throw them out, but we just haven t got round to it yet
Whether you ve gone up a cup size and they don t fit anymore, or you ve washed them a million times and they re looking a bit shabby, whether you ve broken the clasps or lost the straps, your unwanted bras can help us keep flying and saving lives in your area.
The GWAAC team has once again joined forces with our recycling partner, Bag It Up to host Bag a Bra day on Oct 22nd.
We attend more than 100 incidents a month and operate like a flying A&E, bringing lifesaving treatment to patients, right at the scene.
That means that 1 patient in 5 who would otherwise be expected to die, survives.
Basically, your old bras can save a life!
We will be placing bra collection points across the region where you can drop off your old bras. Just visit www.gwaac.com to find out where.
If you ve teamed up with colleagues, friends, or the local communality and have collected more bras than you can handle, get in touch with one of our friendly fundraisers. We ll come and pick them up! Email [email protected].
You can also Swap a D -Cup for a teacup! Host a coffee morning with your friends and get them to bring over their old bras, and if possible a donation too, in exchange for coffee (maybe even a bit of cake!) and a natter all guilt free because you are helping us to save local lives.
