Holy Trinity V Baileys Court in Dodgeball Tournament
April 27th, 2012
Key Stage 2 children from Holy Trinity and Baileys Court Primary Schools enjoyed a fun and friendly competition in dodgeball this week.
Three teams of six (Holy Trinity, Baileys Court Blue and Baileys Court Red) competed against each other in the after-school tournament, each side keen to secure the coveted trophy. The teams were all of mixed ages from year 3 to year 6.
Holy Trinity’s Head Teacher, Jane Johns, commented: ” All of the local schools are trying to participate in as many inter-school sports events as possible as we feel that the competitive element is healthy alongside developing teamwork and sportsmanship. We are trying to ensure that as many age groups as possible have the chance during the year so this was good having a mixed KS2 team. In school the children have loved playing dodgeball as it’s a new sport to us.”

Many parents, and even grandparents, turned up to support their teams. After a very close tournament, with lots of fun and excitement, Holy Trinity emerged as the winners, with Baileys Court Reds coming in as runners up.
Well done to all the players who took part and represented their schools so well.
