Infant Music Festival

We were pleased to be invited along to Bowsland Green School who were hosting an Infant Music Festival with the theme ‘Space’. All  Year 2 children  from schools around Bradley Stoke (Wheatfield, Holy Trinity, Meadowbrook, Bowsland Green, Bailey s Court and St Mary s) took part in the event.

The children were encouraged to dress for the occasion and their costumes certainly did not disappoint! There were Aliens, Storm Troopers, Rockets, Astronauts, black holes and many more.

South Glous Music Hub brought the entertainment  in the form of ‘Queen of the Universe and ‘Dr Who .   After a few formalities, one child from each school went up on stage and used the planets as drums with Dr Who playing the trumpet.   It wasn t long before everyone was getting involved starting with the Space Crew and Captain Kirk dancing around the moon to ‘Star
Trekkin  by The Firm.

Queen of the Universe chased black holes along to One Direction s ‘One Way or Another ,  which the children (and the teachers!)  all enjoyed dancing to. The Aliens danced to ‘Americano by Lady Gaga and the Stars danced to S Club 7 s ‘Reach for the Stars . Even Wallace & Gromit put in an appearance in Space –   ‘Everyone knows the moon is made of cheese!

At the end of the festival fun, the children were treated to a drink and biscuit which, they all enjoyed outside with their new friends. A great morning with lots of fun had by all!
