Knutty Knitters raise £100,000 for St Peter’s Hospice
January 11th, 2016 were delighted to hear from the local Knutty Knitters, pictured here, following their latest Christmas campaign. Their talks, donations to Knitivity on Tour and Christmas Card sales have raised in excess of £100,000 for St Peter’s Hospice! What a fantastic amount going to a fabulous local cause. Who would ever think that balls of wool, pairs of needles, coffee & cake (& dedicated knitters) would raise such an enormous amount of funds.
Alison Spurrell, one of Knutty Knitters told us: “We are all very proud of what we have achieved for St Peter’s Hospice. St Peter’s Hospice is the only adult hospice service available for adults in the Greater Bristol area and costs £7 million per year to run. Our unique fundraising idea has captured the imagination of so many people and we appreciate so much the support we have had from so many.”
A massive well done to the Knutty Knitters from all of us at Bradley Stoke Matters.
