Launch of the 2019-2020 Poppy Appeal

The local Poppy Appeal Launch took place at Parkway Station, Stoke Gifford on Friday, 25th October 2019.
In attendance were branch members and volunteers from the local Stoke Gifford Royal British Legion; youth groups including Scouts and 2152 North Bristol ATC Squadron also the Riders Branch and Patchway Branch of the RBL, along with our Honoured guests – Chelsea Pensioner John Honey and WWII D Day veteran Ron Stevens.
The Branch has collecting tins and boxes of Poppies at many venues throughout the area and there are tables with collectors with a wide variety of stock in local supermarkets including – Sainsbury’s; ASDA; and the Willow Brook Centre in Bradley Stoke.
And of course there’ll be collectors at Bristol Parkway, including: – Barbara Hillier, Karen Falconer, Ian Harrison, David Bell.
