Listening to Local Residents

Southern Brooks Community Partnership is taking part in a national scheme to “listen ” to 500 local residents over the next 12 months. This has created opportunities for 5 full time posts @ £8.50 per hour for 51 weeks, hosted by Southern Brooks.

Southern Brooks Community Partnership representative says “You will need to be passionate about communities and believe that local people can be the catalyst for change. You will receive comprehensive training and support and work as part of a small team of Community Organisers. You will need to be able to commit to attending a 3 day residential and to be able to work flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends. We have opportunities working in Patchway, Filton, Bradley Stoke, Yate and Kingswood. There may be the opportunity to extend the roles beyond the initial 51 weeks, subject to funding.

The closing date is 9am Monday 18th February and applications need to be submitted by application form (no CVs) available from our website www.southernbrooks.org.uk from next Monday 28th January or ring 01454 868570.”

There will be an information session on Tuesday 5th February from 5 – 7pm at Coniston Community Centre, Patchway to find out more. Shortlisted candidates will need to attend an assessment day week commencing 4th March, for which expenses will be paid.
