Little Stoke Social Club supports the Freewheelers EVS

Members of Little Stoke Social Club raised nearly £3,000 over the last 12 months by holding Easter egg raffles, Tombolas, quiz nights and through the bar top collection tins.

Their chosen charity to benefit from their fundraising efforts this year is the Freewheelers EVS.

Freewheelers EVS is a registered charity, which offers an out of hours and free of charge courier service to the NHS. In 2008, in recognition of the dedicated work of our volunteers, the group was given The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. This is the highest honour that a voluntary group can receive, equivalent in status to an MBE.

The service is provided by volunteers and the Freewheelers depend entirely on public sponsorship and donations.  Tim Hewer, Chairman of Little Stoke Social Club is seen in the photo left, handing over the cheque to members of this amazing voluntary group.
