Local business specialist launches new service for employers helping redundant employees
March 29th, 2016Award-winning local business development specialist Abdullah Ali-Ahmadi of Axent SBS has launched a new Start Your Own Business Resources Kit to help employers support redundant employees who would like to run their own businesses, based on his own experience of helping over 70,000 individuals and businesses achieve success.
Abdullah, who has spent 35 years as a business coach, trainer, mentor and advisor working with enterprises from start-up through growth and to success, has launched the new product and service in response to a gap in the market.
At present employers have a wealth of options for specialists to explain to their would-be business owners how enterprises are set-up and run. The Business Resources Kit however, gives the future business owner the tools and templates they need to make it happen, plus as much personal support and guidance as is required, delivered in person or by email, telephone or Skype, along with a wealth of practical advice and know-how. Employers can choose from a range of options, depending on how much or little they are able to invest in the process.
Available in two versions – one for product-based businesses and one for services-orientated businesses – the resource kit covers every aspect of business ownership including marketing, legal, financial and management know how, with templates and checklists for each topic.
“The Business Resource Kit is what everyone who is starting a business needs to have, all in one place.” explains Abdullah. “Knowing what to do and how, having tailored practical support and being taken through every aspect of business ownership is what start-ups need – but until now, they would have had to shop around doing research, going to various seminars, reading books, downloading tools etc.
“With this package, employers can feel assured that they are investing wisely in securing the best chance of self-employment success for the people they are having to let go. They benefit from having a collaborative partner who will provide regular updates and peace of mind that their redundant staff have full follow-up support. Plus they can spend as little or as much on the support process as they can afford with the service starting as basically as delivery of materials plus email support through to unlimited tailored support for the first year.
“Would-be business owners have instant and easy access to knowledge, expertise and experience which will help them make their transition to self-employment or small business.” Abdullah continues. “Starting again is less daunting with an advisor by your side and we can be with them every step of the way.
“It is the ideal service for businesses who take their obligations as an employer seriously and are committed to ensuring redundant staff are looked after into the future.”
One person to benefit from such support is Alan Jenkins from Bradley Stoke near Bristol. After taking voluntary redundancy from Rolls-Royce, Alan set up his own business – Jenkins Fine Prints – in 2004 after following Abdullah’s start-up business advice.
Twelve years on, the photographic business which specialises in high quality monochrome fine prints from taking pictures to image management and framing, now also involves his wife Avril and son Stephen.
“When I was looking for help on how to set up in business I attended all sorts of seminars and training, but to me, it still wasn’t clear what I needed to do or how to go about it.” says Alan. “Meeting Abdullah was “gold” – he has a clear but simple way of taking you through the business start-up journey you will make.
“Unlike many advisors Abdullah has run his own businesses and his knowledge and expertise is obvious. He clarified everything that I hadn’t understood and made me think hard about every aspect of my business. Even today, I still have in mind the things he taught me!
“Abdullah’s start-up advice has stood me in great stead and I am proud to say I have done very well. To others starting out, I would say you need someone like Abdullah by your side who knows what they are talking about. It can be the difference between knowing what you are doing – or not!”
Abdullah from Bradley Stoke near Bristol, announced the launch of a range of business support services – including e-books, books, webinars, practical business templates and software under a range of business support services called 7Tips4Success – in December. His first e-learning tools have since been launched through Amazon UK.
The youngest person ever to be awarded the title of Fellow of the Institute of Business Advisers, Abdullah holds the Small Firms Enterprise Development Achievement Award for the highest levels of professionalism as a Small Business Trainer, Facilitator and Coach and an Achievement Award from The Institute of Business Consultants for his contribution to Start-up businesses. He works with businesses and organisations in the private, social enterprise, charity and public sectors.
