Local Ladies invited to meet new friends

Willow Brook Townswomen’s Guild is a very friendly group of mixed aged ladies who like to have fun and enjoy the camaraderie and friendship that goes with being a member of Townswomen’s Guilds, which is one of the largest women’s organisations in the UK with around 400 Guilds and 12,000 members.

During 2022 the WBTG has held a variety of events. The Tuesday meetings included: talks on Owls; the Bristol Exhibition of 1893; Herbs and Spices; our heritage in Song; two craft nights; two party nights celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee and Christmas; and introductions to Pilates and Nordic walking.

WBTG also run a Book Group, a Ladies who Lunch group, as well as a Meet and Chat Coffee morning. When possible WBTG likes to socialise outside the Guild and have had lunch at Wolfridge Alpaca Barn and various local pubs, a Christmas meal at the Aztec hotel, a bring your own lunch in Little Stoke Park, a coach trip to Clarkes Village as well as taking part in a quiz night and a Christmas Carol Service. The Guild takes pride in enhancing the National TG’s mission which is to offer each other support and to be part of an organisation of like-minded women, with opportunities to meet and make new friends.

Our 2023 programme consists of a variety of talks on wide ranging subjects including: The Suffragist Movement in Bristol; Victorian Opera; Auctions; Guide Dogs. There will also be two craft nights and party nights.

Willow Brook TG would love to welcome any ladies to our evenings.  We meet on the second Tuesday in every month at the Jubilee Centre Bradley Stoke at 7.30pm.
