Local Mum of 4 Wins ‘Makeover Model’ Competition for Bristol Fashion Week
March 21st, 2013We were absolutely thrilled to hear that our friend and colleague Ceri Wakefield, a local resident and mum of four, won a ‘Makeover Model’ competition giving her the opportunity to be a part of Bristol Fashion Week. We’ll let Ceri tell you more in her own words
.
“Let s just say I was more than surprised when I received the phone call, to say I had won a competition to be a makeover model at Bristol Fashion Week.
Back in February I was looking to see if there were any book signings coming up, when I saw the advert to enter the competition. Being a mother of 4, Harrison 8, Caiden 6, Lucas and Finley 18 months, I don t really get much time to myself, let alone for pampering, so I thought I d give it a go.
This past week has been amazing. It started with a makeover at the Bobby Brown counter in John Lewis and then straight onto a styling session with TV stylist Mark Heyes. I love the outfit Mark has chosen for me to wear and even better I get to keep it! A few days later, I was treated to a much needed hair makeover at Tomlinson Hairdressing in Clifton Village who did an amazing
job! Next step was catwalk rehearsals where I met up with two of the other lucky winners, Emma Shepherd from Thornbury and Rebekah Powley from Cardiff. We were taken straight onto the catwalk and shown how to strutt our stuff .
So today it s housework, nappies and school runs……..tomorrow, it s onto the Catwalk!!”
Ceri will be taking part in 5 shows on Friday from 9am to 10pm.
