Mel achieves a lifetime ambition and hopes to raise £1000 for charity!

Melanie Rincewind has today had the hair cut of her life. She was inspired a few years ago when her then 6 year old daughter asked “what can I do to help” after watching Comic Relief. With what she calls a “fine mane of hair” she felt this was the right opportunity to achieve her ambition of a head shave and so set out to reach a target of  £500. Mel asked us to go along today to BellaMos Unisex Hair Salon on Patchway roundabout where we met family and friends supporting her charity efforts, as well as the team who work at the salon.

Mel had her hair plaited before the cut to ensure the maximum length could be donated to the charity Wigs4Kids who support children who have lost their natural hair. The clippers then ensured a close shave with no guard! Pete Forrest Photography came along too & took some great shots (Pete offers, when available, photography for local charity events).

Donations can be made via www.JustGiving.com/Melanie-Rincewind or text MELR73 £amount to 70070. Whilst Mel has admitted to not being good at asking  for donations, she has topped £800 and is now setting out to double her original target. Mel has asked Bradley Stoke Matters to thank you in anticipation of your support.
