MOD sees potential in Apprentices
September 11th, 2013
The MOD in Bristol has seen such potential in previous apprentices that they are now offering 15 vacancies significantly above the apprenticeship National Minimum Wage in partnership with South Gloucestershire and Stroud College.
Previously the defence organisation has only recruited graduates for these vacancies but this time around the company have decided to open up the positions to GCSE level applicants.
Anita Al-Zamily, Business Executive for Employer Engagement at SGS, comments: “South Gloucestershire & Stroud College has worked with the MOD Abbeywood for a number of years providing work based training and qualifications for their employees within Purchasing & Supply. We are now delighted to be able to extend this offer to an apprenticeship programme. This really is an amazing opportunity for 15 people, paying significantly above the National Minimum Wage for apprentices.”
Applications for these vacancies are completed via the National Apprenticeship website and close on Friday 13th September.
