New Baby Signing Classes in Bradley Stoke

Local resident Ali Farbrother,  is delighted to be bringing Baby Signing Classes to Bradley Stoke this month.

Well established Little Signers classes have already been running for some time at Badminton Road Methodist Church in Downend and the Brockeridge Centre, Frampton Cotterell.  Mum-of-two Ali is pleased to be expanding her popular group, aimed at babies and their carers, to the Christ The King Church on Mautravers Close, Bradley Stoke.

Ali told us: “When Zoë was a baby, I attended baby signing classes and found it a truly amazing experience – the first time Zoë did a sign to me was fabulous!   Within a short time of starting the course, she was able to communicate her needs to me through signs and I truly believe that it was why she was such a calm child.   Once Sam came along, I taught him signing at home, and was delighted that Zoë had remembered the signs she had learned and was able to help me teach him.

“I decided to teach baby signing so that I could help other parents to share in that very special experience that baby signing brings. It really does strengthen the parent/child bond and opens the communication channels, yet it is great fun and so simple to learn!   The signing is taught using puppets and stories as well as songs and games.   I will be running classes for both beginners and advanced.”

To launch her new classes, Ali held a free introductory session at Bradley Stoke library – which saw many parents turning up to learn about this incredible method of pre-speech communication.
