New Base for the Bradley Stoke Police Team Now Open

The Bradley Stoke Neighbourhood Police team now have a new base in Bradley Stoke, at the Willow Brook Centre.

The police ‘beat post’ was officially opened by Bradley Stoke’s Mayor, Ben Walker this morning (Wednesday 12 January).    Ben commented:   “I am delighted to be able to open this beat post from which our neighbourhood policing team will operate, to further improve the town’s policing.   We continue to work with and support our policing team to ensure Bradley Stoke benefits from some of the best services available throughout South Gloucestershire.

The new beat post provides a base in the community for PC Claire Fletcher and PCSO Paul Baxter, and has been part funded by Bradley Stoke Town Council.   PC Fletcher, back from maternity leave only this morning, told us “We are really grateful to the Willow Brook Centre and the Town Council for supporting this new base for us.   It will mean we can spend more time out and about in the community, without having to return to Filton police station to complete paperwork or make calls.

PCSO Baxter added: “The office is very much a base, not a mini police station – we will still spend most of our time out on patrol across the whole of Bradley Stoke.   It is a more convenient location than th epolice station for local people who want to make an appointment with us, and we will also publish times when the office willbe open for anyone to drop in and have a chat with us.

The other members of the Bradley Stoke team, PC Steve Palmer, PCSO Kirsty Flicker and PCSO Jason Green will continue to use Filton police station as their base, but may well help cover the beat surgeries, or ‘open office’ times at the Willow Brook Centre beat post.

The office is located on the ground floor, opposite Tesco, adjacent the disabled toilets and baby change facilities.

Bradley Stoke residents can contact any member of the neighbourhood team by calling 0845 456 7000, emailing [email protected] or through the website www.avonandsomerset.police.uk.
