New Cancer Diagnostic Centre at Woodlands in Bradley Stoke
March 27th, 2026Last Friday (20th March), Claire Hazelgrove, the local MP for the Filton and Bradley Stoke constituency, officially opened SAH Diagnostics’ new cancer diagnostic centre at Woodlands in Bradley Stoke, and met the dedicated team supporting local residents.
After receiving a tour of the new facilities from CEO Feroz Agad, Claire cut the ribbon to formally unveil the new centre.
This new community-based diagnostics facility will bring local care to more people, without a hospital trip – meaning faster diagnosis and treatment closer to home. The site seeks to reduce waiting times for NHS patients and follows on from SAH Diagnostics’ mobile urology and gynaecology unit at UWE, providing free community services to support local residents.
By partnering further with UWE, new practitioners will receive expert training too, building our skilled local workforce. This new clinic reflects the Government’s commitment to bringing healthcare closer to where people live in our ‘Ten Year Health Plan.’
The Government’s new National Cancer Plan, published last month, includes an ambitious effort to save 320,000 lives by 2035, with three in four people diagnosed with cancer from 2035 onwards cancer-free or living well after five years. This is a drive towards the biggest improvement in cancer outcomes in a generation.
Claire Hazelgrove, MP for the Filton and Bradley Stoke constituency, said:
“I was pleased to formally open the new cancer diagnostic centre here in Bradley Stoke last week, and to meet CEO Feroz Agad and the impressive team providing important diagnostic support for local residents.
“When you or a loved one need to be screened for cancer it is an incredibly worrying time, and being able to do this closer to home, without the added stress of a hospital visit can make this a little easier.
“With cutting-edge facilities and a warm and friendly team, this new centre will make a difference for local people.”
Feroz Agad, CEO of SAH Diagnostics, said:
“It was a privilege to welcome Claire to the SAH Diagnostics – Bristol Community Diagnostics Hub in Bradley Stoke and showcase how we are bringing diagnostics out of the hospital and into the community, improving access for patients and supporting earlier cancer diagnosis.
