OSR Scout troop celebrate their latest Gold Chief Scouts Award recipients

The end of May saw two more scouts from the Old School Rooms Stoke Gifford Troop receive their Gold Chief Scouts Awards from the deputy county commissioner.
Megan and Jess received their certificates and badges in front of the troop and family members with a short presentation and then cut their celebratory cake which everyone shared.
The Gold award is the culmination of 4 years scouting and at least 8 nights away and 6 activity badges but between them the girls had 40+ activity badges plus all 8 challenge awards and 44 nights away!
The commissioner congratulated both scouts and said that they were both an inspiration to the younger members of the troop.
Congratulations to Megan and Jess.  We wish both success in their futures whether that be in scouting or other things.
