Patchway Hosts Primary Pupils’ Music Day
June 25th, 2010
Schools join forces for music performance
Local primary school pupils enjoyed a music day at Patchway Community College on Thursday 24th June.
Year 5 pupils from Meadowbrook and Wheatfield joined year 4 and 5 pupils from Stoke Lodge for a whole day of
rehearsing songs and music, organised by Mrs Munroe of Patchway Community College. The day culminated in a one hour after-school performance involving all the children, which was well-attended by parents and families.
This is the second year that Patchway has run the joint schools music activity, and plans are in place to make this an annual event. Mrs Munroe praised the pupils for their excellent behaviour throughout the day, and for their fantastic performance.
Annabelle, year 5 at Meadowbrook said “It was great fun spending a whole day on music and singing, and I enjoyed making friends with children from other schools.”
