People Singing Together! Did you know there is a Gospel Choir on your doorstep?

For over ten years now Gospel Generation Community Choir (GGCC for short!) has been introducing the wonderful people of Bristol to the joys of Gospel singing. It is now four choirs with one meeting here in Stoke Gifford! All the choirs meet to rehearse across the city and then perform as one mega choir in concerts, street parties, prisons, music festivals and open days to name a few.

The Stoke Gifford GGCC choir is run by Emma Smallwood and meets at St Michael’s Church, Stoke Gifford (in the newer building!) fortnightly on Tuesday evenings. It started in September 2016 and has already grown and become a real community, performing at events across the city including the Southmead hospital Buskathon, Thornbury Carnival and the Harbour Festival.

The choir is open to anyone to join, it is a lot of fun and no previous experience is required. You don’t need to be able to read music and there are no auditions or membership fee. We just ask people to give a donation if they can.

So, if you love to sing, want to have fun and meet some new people then come along!

The Stoke Gifford GGCC choir starts its Autumn term rehearsals on Tuesday 19th September (St Michael’s Church,The Green, Stoke Gifford, BS34 8PD 7.30pm-9.15pm)
