Play to success at Holy Family School
July 6th, 2010
Holy Family School in Stoke Lodge are delighted to have achieved their Platinum Play award. The school is one of just three schools in the country to have achieved this prestigious award. Dawn Breeze, the Head Teacher, is delighted that the school’s hard work with their play developments has been recognised.
The school’s playtimes have been transformed from being mainly football dominated to a fun-filled, vibrant, exciting place to be! The children have lots of opportunities to build dens, dress up and use their imaginations with the ‘play pod’ equipment that they have had since September. The school has also recently had some brand new play developments, including a stone circle with fire pit, an outdoor stage, a bird watching tower with a climbing wall and a giant story telling throne.
The children definitely give their new inspiring playtimes the thumbs up with Danielle Collins, aged 11, stating, “It is fun and exciting” and Ellie Gregory exclaiming, “I don’t feel limited at playtimes anymore!”
