Police Appeal for Witnesses to yesterday’s accident on Bradley Stoke Way

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following the road traffic collision in Bradley Stoke in which a teenager was seriously injured.

The incident was reported at about 3.34pm yesterday evening (Friday September 30) in Bradley Stoke Way. Police believe a group of teenagers on push along mini scooters were in the process of crossing the road when one of them was in collision with a motor bike. The youngster on the scooter, aged 13 years, suffered serious head, abdomen, arm and leg injuries and was taken to Frenchay Hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

The motorcyclist suffered an arm injury and was also taken to Frenchay Hospital, where he is to undergo surgery. His injury is not thought to be life threatening or life changing.

The road was closed for a number of hours following the collision to allow officers from the force’s collision investigation unit to carry out a detailed examination of the scene. The road was re-opened shortly after 8pm.

Police believe a number of people may have been in the area at the time of the incident, returning home from work and may have useful information to help their enquiries. Anyone able to help is urged to contact police on 101.
