Pride in Exam Results

Students at Patchway Community College celebrated with excitement and jubilation on receiving their results this year. At A level, a record 19% of grades were at A or A*, with 70% at A*-C.   Even better, all students applying to university were accepted onto their first choice courses, and will be starting on their future studies with real confidence.

Some fantastic individual performances included Zainab Bello with 3 A grades in Biology, Chemistry and Maths; Leah Tozer with 3 As in Drama, English Literature and Psychology; and Abigail Edwards with an A* in Biology, A in Chemistry and B in Maths.

The college s excellence in Art Texiles continued, with 29% of candidates being awarded A* grades.     In Art, Biology, Chemistry, English Literature, Financial Studies and Textiles at least half of students gained A*- B grades.

At GCSE, the college gained record high results in a wide range of subjects, including Maths, History, RE, Sport and Performing Arts, with the percentage of students gaining 5A*-C increasing to 78%.  61% of students gained a A*-C in English and this percentage was also achieved in Maths.

Some exceptional individual performances included Zemzem Sonmez with 6A*s and 5As, Jay Fothergill with 3A*s, 2 Distinction*s and 5As, Hope Richardson with 4A*s and 5As, Kayleigh Selman with 3A*s and 7As and Sam Ellis with 4A*s and 4As.
