Royal Wedding Celebration Announced

Bradley Stoke Town Council has announced that there will be a joint celebration at Jubilee Green on April 29th this year, when the official opening of the expanded council premises coincides with a Royal Wedding Party to celebrate the Royal marriage of Prince William to Kate Middleton.

Local voluntary group The Friends of Jubilee Green will be helping to organise the event, along with event management company Re:Energise, who co-ordinate the annual Bradley Stoke Festival and popular Fireworks Display. April’s event will include a live broadcast of the wedding on a huge, elevated, outdoor screen and a ‘street party’ atmosphere with colourful bunting, a variety of refreshment providers and stalls from local vendors and community groups. It is also proposed that there will be a supervised ‘inflatable’ play area to enable parents to watch wedding ceremony.

Stallholders will be asked to pay a nominal fee, the proceeds of which will go to The Friends of Jubilee Green for the development of the Jubilee Green play area.
